ATS and Newmans Become South Pacific Powerhouse Brand Travel2

Las Vegas (December 1, 2009) – With travel to Australia set to boom following the release of the movie Australia, travel agents have a rejuvenated wholesaler partner promoting the South Pacific as the hottest travel destination for 2009.

The Travel2 brand, with a global footprint in the United Kingdom, Australia and now the United States, was launched this week at the Luxury Travel Expo in Las Vegas. Travel2 was created by the partnership of two South Pacific legacy brands, ATS Tours and Newmans Vacations.

The Travel2 family will also include niche wholesaler Islands In The Sun www.islandsinthesun.com which specializes in romance travel to Tahiti, Fiji and the other South Pacific Islands. Combined, the three brands have over 200 years of expertise in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

“We’ve partnered with the industry’s top suppliers to offer “unique and boutique experiences” which aren’t available anywhere else,” stated Mark Punshon, Vice President of Sales for Travel2. “Working with our in-house experts, agents will be able to deliver to their clients the best value in terms of both price and experience.”

“Our staff is, without doubt, the most knowledable and experienced reservations team in the industry,” according to Punshon. “The years of experience, destination knowledge and agent relationships found at Newmans and ATS will only grow stronger under the Travel2 brand.”

In addition to its core destinations of Australia and New Zealand, Travel2 is also promoting its Asian program featuring the continents’ most popular - and emerging – destinations. In addition to FIT packages, Travel2 offers small group journeys operated by sister brand Travel Indochina, a leader in travel to South East Asia since 1984. The company is taking 50 travel agents to Asia in February on a mega-famil in partnership with various Asian tourism offices.

“As a 100% agent focused brand, Travel2 will be providing agents with the tools needed to successfully sell our destinations,” added Punshon. “We’ll be launching innovative campaigns which actually drive leads directly to our agent partners. For example, we invite clients to sample unique experiences in the Travel2 product range for only $2”

Travel2 will retain all consortia relationships long held previously by the Newmans Vacations and ATS Tours, with an ongoing focus on agent training. The company plans to host over 150 agents on famils throughout 2009.

“The Travel2 brand has been in the works for over a year,” stated Mark Punshon, Vice President of Sales. “We have worked very hard to maintain the experience, professionalism and knowledge for which both Newmans and ATS were famous.”

More information can be found at the company’s website www.Travel2-us.com or by calling reservations at (888) 410-5770 Monday to Friday 6:30am to 5:30pm PST and Saturdays 7:00am to 4:00pm PST.
